2024 Week 5 League Play

President's Choice took over sole possession of first place by defeating BAG Team 12-4. Four teams are one match behind the leaders, with Shank Faction in second place by virtue of team points after a 13-3 win over the Wedgies. Sandbaggers toppled Divot Masters 10-6 to pull into third, followed by Wedgies in fourth. Darcy's Duffers picked up a 10-6 win over Team Fore! to move up to fifth, and Mulligans dropped to sixth following a 10-6 loss to Odd Lot. Complete standings are below.

Overall scores were solid, coming in at a net average of 1.8 strokes over par (36.8) on the back nine. Kelsey White shot a net four-under 31 to take low net honors, and Jim Bates (32) and Bill Perkins, Joe Milks, and Rob Sitsler (35) also won a share of low net prizes in their respective handicap groupings. Milks tied with Thomas Hallen for low gross honors at 1-over 36. Jason Toyoda stuck his tee shot 4'8" from the pin on #15 to take the KP hole prize, and Ryan Rader's 4'10" putt held up for Longest Putt prize on #10. The full scoresheet is here.

A note for the new players: Each week the winners of low net and gross scores are highlighted here on the website. However, weekly prizes are given to low net only (not low gross). Two hole prizes are awarded each week, and vary from week to week. Low net prizes are given in four handicap groupings, broken out as evenly as possible based on the distributions of handicaps playing that day. Therefore, you are competing against others with similar handicap for low net individual prizes. See the Prize Listing for a list of individual prize winners.

Reminder from the handicap chair and webmaster: Please clearly write full names with correct spelling on the score sheets each week, so that we don't have to try to guess when entering scores into the handicap database. Also please compute the adjusted gross score based on player handicap. AND... CHECK HANDICAPS against the listing in the score folder to make sure they match what each player reported at the start of the match!
