2024 Week 3 League Play

Week 3 saw the last undefeated teams fall, and the last winless team pick up their first victories, leaving the standings as even as possible after three weeks. The five teams with 2-1 records are ordered by total team points. Mulligans remained in first place despite dropping a 10-6 decision to Sandbaggers, who moved into third place. Divot Masters picked up a 12-4 win over Darcy's Duffers to move into second, and Wedgies are in fourth after a 9-7 loss to Odd Lot. President's Choice toppled Shank Faction (9-7) and sit in fifth. In the day's other match, Team Fore! picked up their first win by defeating BAG Team (13-3). Complete standings are below.

Overall scores were pretty good this week, coming in at a net average of 2.1 strokes over par (39.1) on the front nine. Chris Klasen led the way with a net 3-under 34. Other players winning low net scores in their respective handicap groupings were Kyle Makovsky and Steve Widergren (35) and Steve Matsumoto (37). Makovksy also had the low gross score of the day at 1-over 38. Hole prizes were won by Thomas Hallen (Long Drive #6) and Jerry Martin (KP #8 at 8'5"). The full scoresheet is here.

A note for the new players: Each week the winners of low net and gross scores are highlighted here on the website. However, weekly prizes are given to low net only (not low gross). Two hole prizes are awarded each week, and vary from week to week. Low net prizes are given in four handicap groupings, broken out as evenly as possible based on the distributions of handicaps playing that day. Therefore, you are competing against others with similar handicap for low net individual prizes. See the Prize Listing for a list of individual prize winners.

Reminder from the handicap chair and webmaster: Please clearly write full names with correct spelling on the score sheets each week, so that we don't have to try to guess when entering scores into the handicap database. Also please compute the adjusted gross score based on player handicap. AND... CHECK HANDICAPS against the listing in the score folder to make sure they match what each player reported at the start of the match!
