2024 Week 7 League Play

Darcy's Duffers posted a 6-under team net of 99 (best three scores) to beat the league leaders Shank Faction (12-4) and take over their place atop the standings. Wedgies nipped Sandbaggers (8-6) to move into second place, followed by President's Choice who defeated Mulligans (12-4). In the day's other matches, Divot Masters skunked Team Fore! (16-0) and BAG Team beat Odd Lot (14-2). Complete standings are below.

Overall scores were mediocre, coming in at a net average of 2.6 strokes over par (37.6 on the back nine). George Last posted a five-under net 30 to lead the way, and Jonny Angle (33), John Hunt (34) and Terry Milham (36) also won low net prizes in their respective handicap groupings. Hole prizes were won by Jon Huerta (Longest Drive #16) and Gregg Andrews (Longest Putt #17 from a distance of 29'0"). The full scoresheet is here.

A note for the new players: Each week the winners of low net and gross scores are highlighted here on the website. However, weekly prizes are given to low net only (not low gross). Two hole prizes are awarded each week, and vary from week to week. Low net prizes are given in four handicap groupings, broken out as evenly as possible based on the distributions of handicaps playing that day. Therefore, you are competing against others with similar handicap for low net individual prizes. See the Prize Listing for a list of individual prize winners.

Reminder from the handicap chair and webmaster: Please clearly write full names with correct spelling on the score sheets each week, so that we don't have to try to guess when entering scores into the handicap database. Also please compute the adjusted gross score based on player handicap. AND... CHECK HANDICAPS against the listing in the score folder to make sure they match what each player reported at the start of the match!
