2024 Week 2 League Play

NOTE: Updated 4/8 to correct an error in Shank Faction team net.

The Mulligans moved into first place by trampling Team Fore! (14-2). Also remaining undefeated and in second place are Wedgies, who stomped Darcy's Duffers (13-3). Six teams have even 1-1 records, led by Shank Faction who lost to BAG Team (11-5) but had a very low team net. Sandbaggers are tied with Darcy's Duffers after losing 11-5 to President's Choice. Finally, Divot Masters defeated Odd Lot (12-4) to move into sixth place. Full standings are below.

Overall scores were typical this week, coming in at net average 3.0 strokes over par (40.0) on the front nine. Andrew Ritzmann posted a great round at net 31, and Johnny (?), Jerry Sandness, and Chris Klasen (34) and Don Bachand (36) also took low net prizes in their respective handicap groups. Gary Cannell took the KP prize on #4 at a distance of 13'2", and Dave Hoyt's 5'4" putt held up for longest putt of the day on #7. Complete scoresheet is here.

A note for the new players: Each week the winners of low net and gross scores are highlighted here on the website. However, weekly prizes are given to low net only (not low gross). Two hole prizes are awarded each week, and vary from week to week. Low net prizes are given in four handicap groupings, broken out as evenly as possible based on the distributions of handicaps playing that day. Therefore, you are competing against others with similar handicap for low net individual prizes. See the Prize Listing for a list of individual prize winners.

Reminder from the handicap chair and webmaster: Please clearly write full names with correct spelling on the score sheets each week, so that we don't have to try to guess when entering scores into the handicap database. Also please compute the adjusted gross score based on player handicap. AND... CHECK HANDICAPS against the listing in the score folder to make sure they match what each player reported at the start of the match!
